Retro Collection Clearance May Not Be The End Of The Run

Even thought the Walmart exclusive Retro Collection is being clearanced at some stores, the product may still be shipping heavily. The current clearance may be a case of Walmart being Walmart. Stress the word “may.” We can’t say for sure.

According to Brickseek, our local store had 6+ Retro Collection in stock for $5. Upon arrival, there were zero in store, and a second check of Brickseek still showed 6+. We asked a stock associate. His inventory showed zero, but much more interesting, he was showing 48 more pieces arriving on June 7th. That’s eight full cases and more that this store has had in stock to date.

If (stress if) this is accurate, much more Retro Collection is on the way. It could also be bad Walmart intel. Walmart is known for that. We turned it into a drinking game. I suspect it’s typical Walmart nonsense if true. It could be that the current home for Retro Collection is being temporarily deleted, and thus the clearance. Then we’ll see a reset with a new home (and probably a return to full price).
