So here's my Top 25 for @SWTVC's March Madness 2026.
I've decided that my main interest in collecting these days is to support the centerpieces of my collection. The top and bottom of my custom shelving unit displays some of my favorite statues, helmets, and 1:6 figures of my 501st focus collection while the 6 shelves across the middle are reserved for my Haslabs, or Haslab adjacent sets. As has anyone else who backed the Haslabs, I have invested a significant chunk of my hobby dollars into these items, and I strongly feel that Hasbro should provide annual support for their previous Haslabs. These "Shelves of Honor" display the Cantina, The Streets of Mos Eisley, The Khetanna, Boba Fett's Jabba's Throne Room, The Razor Crest, and The Ghost. These items alone, nevermind the supporting figures and vehicles, cost quite a bit. I didn't imagine that these things were one-time shots, but that they would be a springboard to additional figures, vehicles, and environmental pieces that would allow us to continuously world-build around around them. As such, I'm rather annoyed that the post-Haslab support for them is, at best, not nothing.
So, I've determined my Top 25 thusly:
1. The first 20 figures are sourced to these Haslab-ish centerpieces. My main interest is the Cantina/Jabba stuff, with a few figures for the Razor Crest, and I guess one for The Ghost (which is my least favorite of the bunch).
2. The last 5 are lifted from my Top 5 in 2025, none of which have been made, and none of which are directly linked to the above-mentioned centerpieces.
In 2025, the only figure on my list that has been made was Arleil Schous, which is still a ways away from being gloriously added to my Cantina. As I've lamented, Hasbro doesn't listen to me and they don't care about my list. They seem to care about our collective lists, of course, and that's a good thing. But I already have everything that's been made; I'm a completist and an army builder. My interest in re-dos of existing things is almost zero. My interest in things outside Haslabs, the OT, PT, Rogue One, and some video games is even lower.
Obviously, in all seriousness, this means I am likely a bit of an outlier in the community as far as my collecting interests go, but I know I'm not exactly alone here. Despite me being an Apex Predator Hasbro Collector for over 25 years, today I am left in a position to be disappointed with 90% of Hasbro's choices for the line. I have money to spend on this hobby, but few opportunities to spend it on what I enjoy most.
So, enough about all that. Here's my list: My personal Top 25: * denotes was not on my 2025 list ↑ denotes figure has moved up from 2025 ↓ denotes figure has moved down from 2025
1. "Lutrillian" (Episode IV) ↑
-Whichever character, I don't care. Either one/both of Ownellco and Atheloe can go inside the Cantina or in The Streets. And we've never had a Lutrillian in the line.
2. Fozec (Episode VI) ↑
-Makes multiple appearances around the Palace and on the Barge.
3. Shasa Tiel (Episode VI) ↑
-Makes multiple appearances around the Palace and on the Barge.
4. Yotts Oren (Episode VI) ↑
-One of the missing 4 figures from the second skiff.
5. Unidentified Weequay Guard (Episode VI) ↑
-There's an articulated window on the side of the Khetanna specifically for this guy. C'mon. How do we not have him?
6. Baniss Keeg (Episode IV) *
-In support of Chris's pick, I've included her on my list as well. Let's give her (and her husband even though he exists) a shot in TVC.
7. Cantina Dude (Yellow Spacer - Episode IV) *
-Another nod to Chris's pick. I figure it's helpful to the cause to pile on so we have multiple votes. LET'S GO!
8. Unidentified Mercenary Pilot (Episode VI) *
-Another of the missing 4 from the second skiff
9. Gailid (Episode VI) *
-And one more of the missing 4 from the second skiff
10. Garouf Lafoe (Episode IV) *
-This guy left the Cantina and can be see snitching to the Imperial Troops outside the front entrance. He fits well inside or outside the Cantina.
11. Braconnor Bakiska (Episode IV) *
-Now that we're finally getting Arleil Schous, this they guy completes "the crew" from the opening Cantina shot.
12. Yerka Mig (Episode IV) *
-Another attempt to pile on Chris's picks. I'm such a pal!
13. Rycar Ryjerd (Episode IV) *
-Yet another Cantina patron, and a nod to Mr. Lobot Boy Summer.
14. Gauron Nas Tal (Episode VI) *
-We already have Mr. Hrcek "It costs how much?" Kal Fas, so why not this guy instead?
15. EV-9D9 (Episode VI) *
-Sigh. Chris really owes me for this one. I put an existing figure on my list. I'm not sure who I am anymore. But honestly, the Kenner figure is better than the POTF2 figure, and that's just embarrassing.
16. Debnoli (Episode IV) *
-For CJ.
17. Migs Mayfeld (The Mandalorian S1) ↑
-OK, so here's one for the Razor Crest.
18. Peli Motto (The Mandalorian) ↑
-Another for the Razor Crest.
19. Frog Lady (The Mandalorian) *
-And one more for the Razor Crest. Why not?
20. "Old Man" Rex (Rebels) ↓
-Yeah. Wanna fight about it? I don't care much about the Ghost, but I would like to add this to my 501st collection.
21. Saw Gererra (Rogue One) ↓
-He was number 1 on my list last year, so as per my rules, he's #21 this year.
22. Second Sister (Jedi: Fallen Order) ↓
-Same rule as Saw. I would like more figures from the Jedi games, as well as some from Outlaws. Whatever.
23. Queen Amidala (Episode I - Battle of Theed) ↓
-Another existing figure. And I'm talking about the two from the Episode I line, not the devolved monstrosity that came out during the TPM3D debacle. I refuse to acknowledge the precursors to the 5POA Dark Times.
24. Owen Lars (Episode IV) ↓
-Yeah, another figure that already exists. The POTF2 Owen (and Beru), are some of the worst figures in the line that deserve much, much better.
25. Theron Nett (Episode IV) ↓
-This may go against the spirt of the "new tooling" rule, but as I've stated, I want Hasbro to at least retool the ankles on the X-Wing buck before they pump out more variants. So why not do so for this guy, and then follow it up with completing Red Squadron? K thanks.
