I like to go through this drill a few times a year to see how my feeling have changed. Even though nothing from my personal top 10 list has been revealed or pipelined, sure enough, my list has changed a little. There are two new entries. Baylan Skoll has been bumped because the television shows, with the exception of the first two seasons of The Mandalorian, are fleeting with me. If a figure is anchored just to a specific show, my interest lessens the further in the rearview it gets. There's a nuance there that I hope is understood (i.e. I would still take a Dedra Meero or a Fifth Brother because those type of characters transcend their media either spiritually or literally). Episode I Obi-Wan has also been bumped, but it's just because circumstances have elevated another character. I will go in descending order. I won't belabor the figures that have been on my wishlist for years now.
#1 - Luke Skywalker
Episode IV
Until this figure gets pipelined, it will be at the top of my list.
#2 - Snowtrooper
Episode V
The base Imperial Stormtrooper has been the best selling figure through our Entertainment Earth affiliate account for two straight months. This has to be sending a message to Hasbro. The Snowtrooper does't have the same diorama utility as that base Stormtrooper, so it wouldn't sell as well, but it could sell in a number of different ways.
#3 - C-3PO
Episodes IV - VI
3PO is brand new to the list, and he jumps all the way to number three. One of my arguments for an all new Episode IV Luke has been the fact that it's needed in so many dioramas. Well with a new C-3PO figure, that need would be doubled because his OT likeness is trilogy spanning. Plus a new protocol droid sculpt could lead to dozens of repaint opportunities.
#4 - Han Solo
Episode IV
As with Luke, an all new Episode IV Han Solo will stay high on my list until pipelined.
#5 - Ben "Obi-Wan" Kenobi
Episode IV
As with Luke and Han, an all new Episode IV Ben Kenobi will stay high on my list until pipelined.
#6 - Anakin Skywalker
Episode III
This figure would be on my list strictly based on it's own merits, but the reappearance in Ahsoka makes it even more relevant. An all new Anakin Skywalker figure is something on which I would "bet the house".
#7 - The Tonnika Sisters
Episode IV
The Tonnikas as slipping down my list again. I'm staring to get that "tired of asking" feeling.
#8 - Darth Malak
Episode IV
Here's the other new entry on my list. The new Darth Revan figure demands a worthy counterpart, and 2007's Darth Malak does not cut the mustard.
#9 - Obi-Wan Kenobi
Episode III
If we need a new Episode III Anakin, we need a new Episode III Obi-Wan to go with him. This would be one of hose figures that I order by the case even though I would have no good reason to do so.
#10 - Darth Maul
Episode IV
I was never a fan of 2012's Darth Maul. The most captivating villain to come out of the PT deserves better.
Well, there's my updated list. I don't like how safe and normal most of it is. I wanted to be beating the drum for things like Ewok village Leia and Jabba's Palace backgrouonders, but Hasbro did this to us. Hasbro, #MakeTheMains.
