This is my list, and I likes what I likes. So you'll find a Dowutin on my list, but it's not Grummgar from Maz's Castle in The Force Awakens. You'll also find a Lasat on my list, but it's not Zeb from Rebels. If you don't like it, make your own list (in the comments). Here we go:
1. Krrsantan
The Book of Boba Fett
I'm a bonafide Wookiee lover, so the second the hulking Krrsantan made his menacing appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, the hooks were set. I know of Santo from the comics, but didn't really know the character. Chapter 2 changed that, and instantly rocketed Black Krrsantan to the top of my want list.
2. Paz Vizsla
The Mandalorian
Numbered lists have this really confining requirement: they have to go in numerical order. That is why Paz Vizsla is numbered as two, but he's really 1B. As with Krrsantan, as soon as I saw Paz Vizsla in Chapter 3 of The Mandalorian, I wanted a figure. The fact that he's voiced by Jon Favreau and appears to be shaping into an antagonist for Mando means this figure is becoming imperative.
3. Amanaman
Return of the Jedi
In the 44 year history of the Star Wars action figure line, Amanaman has been realized in plastic twice. The first time was in 1985's Power of the Force line making him one of the final 17 figures. The second time was in 2001 as the Power of the Jedi deluxe Amanaman. As an Original 96, it needs an update, but there's the rub. It's probably too big for main line, but the deluxe expression is boxed meaning that the O96 requirements wouldn't be met. Perhaps a 6" x 9" card needs to be a third expression in "deluxe" to go with the box and 8" x 9" card.
4. Ninth Sister
Jedi: Fallen Order
Jedi: Fallen Order is a treasure trove of action figure worthy characters. You can view the full list HERE. If you're an action figure collector and have played Fallen Order, you’ve likely wanted figures of the Second and Ninth Sisters the instant they landed on Bracca, but realized that Masana Tide was far too large for a basic figure. This is why deluxe was invented...when we're not getting charged nearly $30 for Boba Fett figures.
5. Jaro Tapal
Jedi Fallen Order
Video games are one thousand times better than animation aimed at young children. This is an immutable fact of the universe. So if you want a Lasat in the Vintage Collection, the Jedi Master who mentored padawan Cal Kestis is your answer. The 5POA animation styled figure of prototype Wrecker is good enough.
