First of all, this is really my "Top 5 Most Wanted List Of Characters Not Named Emperor Palpatine.” You know the rumors. I'm not going to repeat them here. Furthermore, my wants lists almost never include figures that I assume are a statistical probability. For that reason, you won't find a Re-Armored Boba Fett on this list. I don't know if that figure is coming in the next year, next decade, or next quarter century. I just know Hasbro will cash in on the zeitgeist of Fett-mania at some point.
You should know that this list was mentally baked a couple of weeks ago, but I've delayed publishing it to make sure I wasn't being impulsive. I've given this a lot of thought, and this represents my current feelings. Even I am surprised that an OT diehard, such as I am, only has one OT figure on the list. It's a testament to how good recent media is.
A few weeks ago, the Tonnika Sisters were my number one most wanted figure(s). So what changed? Let's get to it.
1. Second Sister (Trilla Suduri) Jedi Fallen Order
As I've mentioned several times already, I've wanted a figure of the Second Sister since the first Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order trailer, but she wasn't at the top of my wish list.
What changed?
I played through Jedi Fallen Order for a third and fourth tine recently, and my infatuation with this character was renewed. I don't know if the timelines connect, but I'm betting Trilla will show up in the upcoming Kenobi series.
2. Boba Fett (Nelvana Animation) The Holiday Special and Droids
I've been carrying on about an animated Boba Fett since late 2017. I bring it up every single time I get face time with Hasbro representatives, but it's never been a top priority.
What changed?
The Droids animated series was added to Disney+ and VC186 - Boba Fett happened.
3. Cad Bane The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch
Cad Bane's animated figure is the only stylized figure that I have ever displayed in my realistic action figure displays. The character deserves that much honor. But as with everything else on this list, I wanted a realistic Cad Bane, but only after several other figures.
What changed?
The Bad Batch S1:E8 happened.
4. Hunter The Bad Batch
I like characters who bear the burden of responsibility. While Tech and Echo operate in their own space and Wrecker is trying very hard not to stick a fork in an electrical outlet, Hunter is looking out for the welfare of the entire team plus Omega. That draws me in.
What changed?
The Bad Batch series is a lot better than I had anticipated.
The Tonnika Sisters A New Hope
That's right. I snuck a two-fer in for number 5. So what? Wanna fight about it? So long as I draw breath, the Tonnika Sisters will be in my top 5. Like Tom Petty, I won't back down, but the sisters used to be #1 on my list.
What changed?
Numbers 1 through 4 happened.
So there you go. Tune in next week when I'll have a completely different Top 5. I'm easily distracted
