If you haven't already voted in the first round of this year's Last Figure Standing, you're time is almost up. Voting will close at 11:59 PM ET tonight. I know that most of our active members here have already voted, but if any of you lurkers haven't done so, the clock is ticking. For those of you who have already voted, if there are any Vintage Collection collectors in your orbit, please share the link with them. As of the time of this writing, there have been almost 1,500 votes cast. This already exceeds the number of submissions during the nomination phase, which was 1,420. With any sizable last day push, this could become the most participated Last Figure Standing round to date.
Here's the almost unbelievable thing: also at the time of this writing, there is a dead lock for the sixth and final spot to advance to round two. The odds seem infinitesimal that after nearly 1,500 votes, there is a tie for sixth place, yet that's where we find ourselves at this moment. This is why it's so important to vote if you haven't done so already. Literally one vote could make a difference. As a reminder, you don't have to make six selections. If there's only one figure that you're interested in out of the twelve finalists, you can vote for just that one.
The voting this year has been crazy to observe. Last year, once there were 1,000 votes in a given round, the results were pretty much locked. Through the first 1,000 votes if 50% of the respondents voted for figure x, the next 500 votes would be +/- 1% for that figure. Meaning if was very difficult for another candidate to come from off the pace to over take it. This year has been completely different. In fact, the figure that was safely in second place after the first 1,000 votes is now one of the two figures tied for sixth, and is in danger of being bumped off entirely. This is nuts.
This is all the more reason to vote if you haven't done so. These last day votes can have a massive impact. At this time, there are only 17 votes separating 3rd and 8th place. Everything is up for grabs. Don't miss out.
