I don’t think I could have brought up a more controversial talking point in the community. Even if I was defending no elbows at least one collector would agree to it if it got Frog Lady into TVC.
Anyway you slice it there are a lot of fan requested figures that are above what can be done at the mainline price point so getting over the price hurdle is something we will have to do as a community to see them made. We all want to see more unique Deco & Tooling in TVC, well we are going to have to pay for it.

Now that feedback has been taken on returning to larger sized cardbacks the cardboard box nightmare hopefully looks to be behind us. Obviously closed boxes cut into sales and why Hasbro opted never to move mainline TVC to PFP.

Everyone knows the price was crept too far too quickly with deluxe figures, sealed up in cardboard, and mostly poor planning. Hasbro looks to be correcting that this year with 3 Very Solid choices revealed so far.
But the question remains what can Hasbro do to improve Deluxe sales? Here are my suggestions:
Wide TVC Cardback with Bubble
Do not release a figure Deluxe+Mainline same year
Always release a Deluxe with Accessories version 1st if also planned for Mainline
Make sure it feels worth it, toss in a set of interchangeable hands
Wise Choices (Large Fan Voted / Fan Favorite Characters or those that can use additional accessories)
A couple of fan favorite, much needed updates to ESB Boba Fett and General Grievous would be good candidates to get into B&M retailers.
Comment below if and how you would like to see larger or more complex deco figures make it into the line. Please don’t recommend 2006 SAGA Collection pricing.
