I feel like "big figures" and "big accessories" are good uses for the Deluxe platform, but I would really like to see the Mattel WWE Ultimate concept get folded into this line. If you look at the above Hulk Hogan figure, it comes with his shirt for the ripping, his championship belt, and multiple swappable heads and hands. In short, it becomes one Hulk Hogan figure to rule them all. With one figure you can recreate multiple expressions of the Hulkster. This type of concept is always something I've wanted brought to the 3.75". No, CJ, I'm not saying that I want speedo-wearing beefcakes in TVC. Of course, I'm also not not saying that, but I digress.
In general, the community always appreciates it when we can get multiple expressions out of one figure. We saw it with VC54 - ARC Trooper Commander where, with one figure, we could recreate both the Phase I and Phase II look for Captain Fordo. More recently, we saw it with VC241 - Darth Vader (Dark Times) where the swappable hands allow the figure to transition from dueling poses to expressive poses. We call these figures "two-fers", and it's a much better approach than milking a separate scene-specific release of the same figure (ex. 2013 TBS 3.75" #06 - Darth Vader).
But could you imagine a "ten-fer"? This is what I'd love to see brought to the Deluxe expression. We often talk about the impossibly unaccounted for definitive Episode IV Luke Skywalker. After creating a definitive version for the basic carded line, it could immediately be pivoted to make an "ultimate" version in the Deluxe line. For accessories, in addition to the obligatory lightsaber, you could include the floppy hat, the poncho, the T-16 model, an E-11, Luke's standard utility belt, the Stormtrooper utility belt, tools, macrobinoculars, the blast helmet, and his long cycler rifle. For swappable body parts, you'd need two additional sets of hands to interact with the E-11 and the macrobinoculars. It may be pushing it, but maybe even an "I'm not such a bad pilot myself" head sculpt too. With one release, we could recreate almost every scene for Luke in his "farm boy" costume. This is just one example. The same pattern could play out for an Episode IV Han, Clone Troopers, Darth Vader and many more.
