I've set my expectations for the livestream coming up at 11 AM ET relatively low. I can't imagine anything huge being revealed on a random Wednesday in February when Celebration is right around the corner in April. I'm simply hoping for actual reveals of previously pipelined figures. Specifically, I want to see the Episode VI Darth Vader and Han Solo. I can't want to buy obscene amounts of each assuming they come out as well as I hope. I'm not worried about the Vader. It will assuredly be based on the outstanding VC241 - Darth Vader (Dark Times), so it's already starting off on third base. It won't take much to bring it home, but there is a lot riding on the Han Solo. We know it's not 100% newly tooled courtesy of the Star Wars The Vintage Collection Facebook group's SDCC Q&A. I'm having a hard time figuring out which existing tooling could be used that won't result in a disappointment. I'm escared for this one.
Set your cruiser coordinates to #HasbroPulse's YouTube channel on February 1st at 11:00am ET for a Star Wars #Fanstream! Join Hasbro's #StarWars team as they take over the stream with an exciting special announcement and new product reveals across The Black Series and The Vintage Collection lines! We hope to see you all there!
The bold above is mine and not Hasbro's. I bolded it because "an exciting special announcement" seems to be the phrase everyone is latching on to, and a lot of the community has jumped to the ole Hotel Lima. The Hibbidy Labiddy. The Hasbulla Labradoodle. I need to quote Tony Romo in response to that:
Eeeeeehhh. Aaaaaaahhh. I don't know, Jim.
Again, this is a random Wednesday in February. It wouldn't be the platform to launch a HasLab.
We will have the livestream embedded here if you want to come back and watch with us. Alternatively, you can watch on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube page HERE.
