Hasbro Star Wars 01/12 Fan Stream Later Today At 11 AM ET

We don't know the totality of what product will be revealed today. In fact, the Hasbro Pulse social media posts don't even mention the brands at all. This hit me a little odd. I checked the announcement for last month's 12/11 Fan Stream, and sure enough, the brand boilerplate is there:

Join Brandon, Chris, and Tom from the Hasbro STAR WARS team on Thursday, December 11th at 11:00 AM ET on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube Channel as they unveil new additions coming to STAR WARS The Vintage Collection and STAR WARS The Black Series.

This time, there is no specific mention of either of the Vintage Collection or the Black Series? What does that mean? In reality, it probably means absolutely nothing. Just a different person typing out the copy. But part of me wonders if this is going to be a one-brand stream (we've had those before...I think). While we don't know all the specifics, there is one thing we know for certain will be revealed later, and if this is all we get, it will be good with me:


We're finally going to find out the contents of the presumed Cantina 4-pack that was teased all the way back during San Diego Comic Con. I am beyond confident that Arleil Schous will be one of the four. In fact, I suspect that's the entire impetus for this set. So who will the other three be? I believe Emily indicated on social media that none of them will be repacks. That's sweet. Part of what cooled interest in the Jabba's Court Denizens pack was that fans were forced to buy another Ree-Yees they didn't need. I'm happy we don't have to worry about that here. If I get four figures that enhance my A New Hope Cantina display, I will be thrilled no matter what. I don't care if they're upgrades or never-before-made characters. But if Hasbro gets creative so as to not make the set so monolithic (remember the Cantina appears in new media), I'll probably feel disappointed.
