I recently wrote about my 5 Most Wanted Vehicles. The Trexler 906 Armored Marauder was nowhere on that list. Described as a more combat ready version of the Imperial Troop Transport, it's the vehicle that Cara Dune, Greef Karga, and The Mythrol used to escape the Imperial Research Facility on Nevaro during Season 2, Episode 4: The Siege of The Mandalorian. And therein lies the reason why this vehicle may suddenly be taking on a higher priority in the Vintage Collection.
With Wednesday's announcement of The Mythrol, we will soon have figures of all three characters who interact with the Trexler Marauder on screen:
The Mythrol will be out later this year, and we already have figures of Cara Dune and Greef Karga in his season two garb.
This is the magic of a scale that focuses on world display as opposed to shelf display. At this time last year, The Mythrol was hardly a priority in the Vintage Collection. He was an interesting looking character, but with minimal screen time as Mando's first bounty on the series. But then the Razor Crest HasLab campaign was announced (and was an unmitigated success). That immediately raised the priority of The Mythrol, which we are thankfully getting. Not that we're getting The Mythrol, it raises the priority of this Trexler Marauder. If we get it, we will start screaming even louder for Manadlorian-based Speeder Bikes to chase the Marauder. Then we'll want Outlander TIE Fighters to pick up the chase after those speeders fail. It's a self feeding cycle.
The more of the world we get, the more of the world we want.
