Crimson Reign #1 Canonizes Another Legends Character

Crimson Reign is a five-part comic book miniseries that focuses on Crimson Dawn and Qi'ra after the events of Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters. Issue #1 was released yesterday and it represents the first canonical mention of the name of a heretofore Legends character:



As you all know, Prince Xizor was the leader of the Black Sun crime syndicate and featured in the now Legends status Shadows of the Empire, which took between Episodes V and Episodes VI:



That's ol’ Xiz on the right of the cover. As I've mentioned before, I actually rather enjoyed SotE, and need to read it again. I thought it really dovetailed Empire and Jedi together nicely. Hasbro even produced a pair of Prince Xizor Comic Packs:



Both of them sold terribly. You may be thinking that Xizor appeared in The Clone Wars, but that was actually a look-a-like character named Ziton Moj. It's probably safe to assume that Prince Xizor will make a physical appearance at some point in the 5-issue arc, and I'm personally okay with this. These character are part of Star Wars history and deserve to be canonized. Except for Jaxxon. What's that now? HE IS?!?
