It's no secret that I'm not a big Clone guy. For the most part, when Hasbro releases a Clonetrooper figure I skip it (and sometimes mock the efforts). Now some have taken this to mean that I hate the Prequel Trilogy. In truth I do not dislike the PT at all. I think they're objectively terrible movies. But that doesn't mean they're not enjoyable- and it certainly doesn't mean I don't want figures from those movies. Star Wars is Star Wars.
Clone Trooper 4-Pack
Available Exclusively on HasbroPulse, June 25 at 1PM
I've said a lot about Clones and how boring they are, but you know what? This is a good set. Before Clone Troopers began scribbling all over their armor, Attack of the Clones featured literally tens of clean all-white Clone Troopers. So even though I already have many of them, I'll happily replace at least 4 with this really good Clone Buck.
Battle Droid 4-Pack

With the modified Super Battle Droid recently revealed for The Mandalorian and Grogu, it was pretty obvious that there would be one coming for the Battle of Geonosis campaign and we did not have to wait long to see it. Now, I'm not going to lie. I am disappointed by the 3-1 ratio. Even if there were far more of the reddish B1's than SBDs in the film, that feels like too many. On the bright side, this seems to be a further improvement on the last Battledroid pack that upgraded the legs, but nothing else. This time, the wrists and forearms have been re-engineered to be able to perform a film-accurate THWG (that's Two-Handed Weapon Grip for you newbies). With the limited released images, I can't tell how well it can achieve that pose, but it's certainly a step in the right direction.
Regardless how anyone feels about these reveals, I want to once again heap praise on our friend Matthew Cohen (@ShootingtheGalaxy) for these shots. This image looks better than anything in the actual movie. While I have zero space for a gunship, this shot makes me wish I did. We just need Hasbro to increase their output just so he has more to shoot.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I am on vacation. Leave me alone.
