As I think most do with their March Madness top 25 submissions, I strategically weight figures that I think need visibility toward the top, but that doesn't necessarily mean I follow those rankings once the voting starts. That is the case with my 2026 bracket. Once it becomes a one on one matchup, I feel more factors need to come into play when determining priority. So here goes.
Northwest Bracket
This was a tough one for me. The northwest corner features two of my top ten figures with Endor Village Leia and Bespin Luke, so naturally, they were the two finalists vying to come out of the bracket. I had to make the painful decision to pass over Leia.
Southwest Bracket
Again, this group featured another two of my top ten with Ki-Adi-Mundi and Baniss Keeg. Baniss Keeg was actually my number four submission, but I had to make the agonizing decision to advance Ki. Both figures support HasLabs, but I figure that upgrading a PT Jedi Master is better overall for the line than the Cantina backgrounder.
Northeast Bracket
This is where I lost my mind. 3PO was my number 6 ranked figure, but then something hit me when filling out the bracket. I'm sick of voting for 3PO in fan polls. This figure should have been made years ago. So I advanced Mara Jade out of protest. That then pitted Jade against my number 3 overall figure, Atheloe. Again, I ranked Atheloe that high to give the character visibility, but when it comes to the head to head, I feel Jade would sell better, so she gets the advancement. I do have to say, thought, that the same-day sellout of the recent Mos Eisley set does make me reconsider which would sell faster. I may flip flop again once the votes count.
Southeast Bracket
This was the easiest group to complete. There was zero deliberation. EV-9D9, my number one overall, sails through.
Semi Finals
Once again, the drama was over for me. Easy for me to push Luke and EV-9D9 to the finals.
Finals
So this should be a no-brainer. My number one overall is sitting there, so she wins, right? Well, it wasn't so easy for me. I'm one of the legion of fans for whom Luke is, was and always will be Star Wars. Once it got to nut-cutting time, I had to honor my boy:
