BREAKING:  THE HASLAB CANTINA HAS FUNDED!

The Cantina is UNLOCKED. Brea Tonnika is UNLOCKED. Senni Tonnika is UNLOCKED. Wuher is UNLOCKED. If the story ends here, this is one of the greatest days in the history of the 3.75" Star Wars action figure line, and I mean the entire history. It's time to celebrate:

Llyod dancing

But the story hardly ends here. If we want Arleil Schous, the work is less than half way done. Fortunately, there are over three full days left, and as we all know, HasLab campaigns pick up most of their backers in those final three days. Can the Cantina get 9,000 backers in the last three days? It's tough to say. Based on the slow start, the easy answer is to say, "no," but this campaign has been unprecedented during every step of the way. It started off by being delayed only a few days before its launch. Then the entirety of the campaign was accidentally leaked on the Hasbro Pulse website, not just once, but several times. This undoubtedly contributed to the slow start as some formed opinions, which may or may not have been correct, before Hasbro had a chance to properly market the Cantina.

The slow start actually would have projected a failed campaign. I'm not exaggerating. It wasn't good, but the Cantina shook off that early deficit like the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI. When it entered what should have been the slow days of 30 or less backers, it rallied. The Cantina rarely put up less than 60 backers a day. The lowest point was 45 backers on day 18, but it was followed by 217 backers the next day. The Cantina is so far off script that I dare not make any prediction of how this will end, except to say that anything is possible.

The Ghost put up 8,582 in it's final three days. If the Cantina matches that, Arleil is definitely within reach. The Ghost obviously beat the ever living snot out of the Cantina in the early days, but it has actually been outperforming the Ghost leading up to the final rush. On the 5th to last day, the Ghost picked up 299 backers. On the Cantina's 5th to last day, it gained 458. I'm using the relative position to the end of the respective campaigns for these numbers as it mitigates the fact that this HasLab is on a much shorter schedule. Again, anything is possible between now and Monday.

The most unprecedented thing about the Cantina is the three exclusive figures. The fact that the Tonnika Sister figures are exclusive to this HasLab creates an incalculable variable. These will be the first and only Tonnika Sister figures in the entire 46-year history of the Star Wars line. That is a game changer of unimaginable magnitude. Figure-only collectors are going to be put to the test. Do they pay $400 now to secure them, or do they roll the dice on the secondary market once the Cantina ships in 2025? I truly believe that the latter is a losing proposition as my gut instinct is that the pair will be selling for at least $500 come then.

Of course, the journey of one thousand miles starts with a single step. Arleil is the end of that journey, but let's focus on getting to 11,000 backers first because:
