That's right! We're stepping up to the plate to thank our readers (the one's on Twitter anyway) by giving away a HasLab Razor Crest. All you have to do is follow us on Twitter and retweet THIS TWEET to enter. If "THIS TWEET" isn't hot linked when you read this, it's because my alarm didn't go off. Don't worry. I'll get to it when I wake up, and there's plenty of time to enter.
Want even better news? This contest is open to our international followers, and we'll pay the shipping. Are we insane? Yes, but we were insane long before we cooked up this idea. Being old and curmudgeonly, we fought social media tooth and nail for the better part of our first decade of existence. I should clarify. We're not old enough to be on Facebook, but we're too old for the Snap Toks and Instapots of the social media world. Basically, we're in the Goldilocks zone for being anti-social media, and unfortunately, our follower counts reflect that. But that doesn't mean our attitude has been correct.
We've made attempts to grow our social media base in recent years. We learned that Twitter has become one of the most direct and effective ways for us to communicate with our readers and followers, and we really want to see that follower base grow. A lot of what happens in our hobby now requires timely dissemination of news. Sometimes reading an article twenty minutes after it breaks means you're fifteen minutes too late to the preorder party. That is the reasoning behind the method for entering the contest. We want to boost our communication effectiveness. The good news is that many of you reading this are already on Twitter (and maybe play Wordle with us).
