ATTN ENTERTAINMENT EARTH:  Shipping Times To Northeast Seem Unnecessarily Long

First, let me say that the intent of this article is not to complain or whine. In the litany of woes that life can throw at you, slow free shipping of toys ranks somewhere between the loaner car at the Mercedes dealership not having a massaging driver's seat and not being able to eat all the caviar in your fridge before it spoils. In other words, in this history of non-issues, this one is a whopper.

The intent is simply to provide feedback to Entertainment Earth via this article and the corresponding comments. Call me naive, but I truly believe that company's want to provide the best customer service that is reasonable. Please note that the final word in the previous sentence is important. It has to be reasonable. Entertainment Earth may not be aware of this issues, and it might be an easy fix with a call to their shipping partner. If this is easily remedied, it would greatly improve customer satisfaction.

There are two Pitney Bowes Facilities in the northeast that seem to be particularly problematic. They are located in Monroe Township, NJ and Norton, MA. For lack of a better word, packages seem to get "stuck" in these two locations. They are the Roach Motels of parcels. Packages check in, but they don't check out (for a while, anyway). It should also be noted that this issue is inconsistent. Sometimes the deliveries breeze through these locations. Other times it honestly feels like they get lost in the wash. Something a little disconcerting when this happens is that the estimated delivery date even disappears. It gets replaced with this message:

EE check back later

When my Boba Fett wave case was stuck in this state at the Monroe Township, NJ facility for 10 days, I bit all my fingernails off.

If you look at the lead image, those two locations are separated by roughly 80 miles. It's an hour and a half drive by car, yet it took six days to traverse that relatively small distance (fully admitting that there was a hurricane in between complicating things). To the untrained observer, that seems excessive.

Entertainment Earth, if there is a bug you could put in Pitney Bowes' ear to see if this can be corrected, your customers tucked away in the northeast would greatly appreciated it. If not, we won't lose any sleep over the fact that our free shipping isn't as fast as we'd like.
