2025 Last Figure Standing Delayed Due To Gunship HasLab Campaign

A lot is riding on the HasLab Gunship campaign. The Vintage Collection's status as a bankable HasLab brand as well as the anchor of the 2026 Vintage Collection theme hang in the balance. With this much at stake for our beloved brand, the Last Figure Standing team does not want to draw attention away from this all-important campaign. For that reason, the 2025 LFS will not launch on August 2nd as originally planned. We are moving it to the first post-campaign date where our schedules align, which is September 27th. The good news is that it gives you more time to sharpen your Top 10 Most Wanted lists, and maybe a few more figures will be revealed before then. Be sure to follow the Last Figure Standing Instagram account for updated calendars and all the latest details.

I'm personally not yet worried about the Gunship at least meeting the minimum base requirement for funding. I'm not confident about the stretch goals, but I think we'll get to at least the 8,000 backer minimum. Veterans of the Barge campaign know what this looks like. The Gunship is the first "post-speculation" HasLab. I will be discussing that a lot more in the future. The Barge was the first "pre-speculation" campaign because no one knew they were going to sell for $2,000 on the secondary market (but I tried to tells ya). This is simply what the trajectory looks like when only pure collecting forces are driving the backing. It's actually a good thing (again, more on that later). In business, deadlines exist because people need them. Otherwise some people would keep working their projects in perpetuity. I think the same mechanics are at play here. Collectors are going to use the bulk of the 45 days to make their "will I / won't I" decision. And we all know which side the collecting gene usually errs. Better to have and not want (and then sell), then to want and not have (and have to pay secondary market prices).

But because this is going to be a slow simmer of a campaign, it's another reason I'm personally happy with delaying this year's Last Figure Standing. I want to be able to pester you with as many Gunship articles as possible between now and September 8th. If my attention was divided with Last Figure Standing (which is all consuming during the data-clean phase), I wouldn't be able to harass our readership as effectively with my passionate support for this Haslab campaign. I'll be honest, I was a little defeated then the Gunship didn't rip to backing in the first two days. I so desperately want another blowout victory like the Razor Crest where we can just sit back and laugh. But now I've come to grips with the fact that we're in for a dogfight, and I'm ready for the battle. I'm a Patriots fan. I'm used to comebacks.
