2025 Last Figure Standing Nomination Phase Ends Tonight At 11:59 PT

The critical nomination phase of Last Figure Standing is coming to a close tonight at 11:59 PM PT. It has been another successful year. As of the time of this writing, we're well over 1,000 submissions, but we want more. The more data you provide, the better the line can represent the will of the collectors. One thing we're worried about is that some members of the community think that posting their 10 most wanted on social media counts as a submission. It does not. Only by clicking on the above link and filling out the Google form will your vote be counted. The information you provide can, without a doubt, help Hasbro formulate their plans due in large part to the data visualization dashboards that John Miko provides. It makes the data highly accessible, actionable and consumable. You might think he does this stuff for a profession. You can see the 2024 Last Figure Standing dashboard HERE, and the 2023 version HERE. If you don't think Hasbro is paying attention, note that NINE of 2023's Top 10 have been made. One last bit of personal news. I won't be able to do the data cleaning this year due to a family matter. I don't want to be cryptic, so I will explain. My mother is entering the end phase of of her hospice care. They have suspended all feeding and medicine (other than comfort). So it's matter of when, and not if. The when is expected within the next week. We have the kindest community here that can be imagined, so I know the instinct will be to offer condolences, but I need to stress that, while this is a sad and emotional event, it will actually be a blessing in some respects. My mother has had no quality of life for the past few years being bed ridden with advanced dementia in a care facility. The thought of that has kept me up at night at times, but the person who was my mother left us many years ago. I know that I would personally rather join the hereafter than live in that state. Nonetheless, while I won't be grieving as one typically would with the passing of a parent as that grief has already come and gone, I will be busy with family matters that will preclude me from my Last Figure Standing duties.

When I mentioned this to my LFS teammates, Tim and John, the initial thought was that we were going to have to permanently postpone the 2025 Last Figure Standing. We can't delay any further lest it bump up too close to March Madness. But then a pair of heroes emerged. Bret and Dustin (aka CJ) have stepped up to the plate and volunteered to do the data cleaning this year. Three cheers for our new champions! If the thought of torturing CJ with your misspellings and other inaccuracies doesn't incentivize you submit your list, I don't know what will. As with HasLabs, some fans like to wait until the last minute to join these fan polls. Well, if that's you, the time is now:
