Q. The return of unpunched cards is a curse and a blessing. The blessing is that nothing looks better than a nice unpunched vintage cardback. The curse is that getting to the retail supply before they get stocked on a peg is a nightmare. Have you considered working with the retail partners so that we can get some end cap shelf boxes for the Vintage Collection like we’ve seen recently with Legends and Clone Wars? In the rare cases when retail stores put the cards unpunched on the shelf, they sell in a heartbeat.
A. We can explore this - thanks for the thought.
Q. The recent “Revenge of the Jedi” cases that popped up for pre-order on some sites starts with either figure #61 or #62 (depending on what number the Boba Fett figure receives). The last known wave prior to that ends with #55. Will there be an an assortment shipping before the “Revenge” cases that covers that numbering gap or will things be out of order for a bit as you ramp up for the Blu-ray release? In any case, we’re sure that almost any character will look great standing on the deck of a Hasbro Sail Barge.
A. Yes, there will be a number gap until 2012. A wave of figures originally planned for release this summer were moved to 2012. This wave included Aayla Secura, Nom Anor, 501st Clone Trooper, Kithaba, Evazan, Naboo Pilot, Mawhonic, Aurra Sing and Gungan Warrior. All these figures will be available in 2012 (including Europe) and there should no longer be a gap.
