The POTF ‘85 Yak Face figure was already a legendary collector piece when the modern line launched in 1995.  Two years later when it’s ONLY modern counterpart arrived on the scene, it was greeted with the Price Is Right fail horns.  We examine this unfortunate plastic effigy for today’s Throwback Review.

As the new Black Series 6” Sandtrooper Sergeant eludes me, we are forced to look at a figure from days gone by.  For today’s Throwback Review we consider 2006’s Saga Collection Princess Leia in Boushh disguise.

Early 2004 was a treasure trove of obscure characters.  The General Jan Dodonna figure is the subject of today’s Throwback Review.  The character is the subject of one of the more famous Star Wars trivia questions and the figure reminds us of an all too important unproduced mustachioed companion piece.

Today is a bit of a national holiday with the first full day of NFL games.  To commemorate this special day, we feature a figure that is special to me.  Throughout the amazing breadth of the Star Wars action figure line, 2004’s Star Wars “Saga” R1-G4 is among my absolute favorites.  It’s the subject of today’s Throwback Review.

Nothing quite says Star Wars like droids, and what’s better than one droid in a pack than two.  Today we review 2006’s Saga Collection Power Droid which also included a Treadwell droid just to sweeten the pot.  If you have an Echo Base hangar display, it would be naked without these two little guys.

We had to get to this figure eventually, and it seemed best just to get it out of the way.  2003’s Throne Room Duel Luke Skwalker is perhaps the worst figure in the history of the line, but it’s so bad that it’s actually funny.  And with that, I offer today’s Throwback Review.

It should become apparent by now that I am fascinated with the Star Wars “Saga” figures, especially those wearing dresses. So we continue this mini-run of Saga figures with 2003’s Wat Tambor figure.

Sticking with the phenomena of the 2003 Star Wars “Saga” line, today we look at the Secret Ceremony Padmé Amidala.  Because when I think Star Wars, I think wedding.

Since the far reaches of the northeast have not yet been threatened by the Walgreens Proto Fett figure, we will continue to live in the past here at Bantha Skull for reviews.  Today’s subject is 2003’s Star Wars “Saga” Imperial Dignitary figure of Kren Blista-Vanee.  For those that could remember the POTF ‘85 line, this was an exciting release at the time.

Sunday morning is supposed to be easy, so for today we choose a figure that provides so much material, the review practically writes itself.  2002’s Star Wars “Saga” Bepin duel Darth Vader is the subject of the Throwback Review.

Another of the POTC cantina patron trio, Myo is the subject of today’s Throwback Review.  It’s another wonderful figure from this widely missed mini-collection of figures from 2005.

The fan favorite Original Trilogy Collection was completed and the Revenge of the SIth figures were still a few months away.  In that window, Hasbro crammed in some new figures in the “Post” OTC line that were difficult to find in the wild for the most of us.  Today we look at one of those figures, Dannik Jerriko from the forefront of the cantina.

Yesterday’s throwback review featured 2007’s Darth Revan from the Thirtieth Anniversary Collection.  Today we look at that figure’s companion piece from the same wave, Darth Malak.

Today we review a figure that holds a place of honor in many collections for those who own it and an object of desire for those two don’t.  The Thirtieth Anniversary Collection’s Darth Revan has been an Ebay darling since the day of it’s release in 2007 and is the subject of today’s Throwback Review.

We’ve exhausted our supply of newer figures to review, so we’re back to living in the past.  Today we look at an unfortunate figure from 1998.  The unfortunate Freeze Frame Princess Leia Organa in Ewok Celebration Outfit is our cross hairs.
