Ukraine will hold presidential elections on May 25, and among the field of candidates hoping to lead the country out of turmoil, there is Darth Vader. The Ukrainian Internet Party (UIP) announced over the weekend that it would be fielding the Dark Lord of the Sith as a candidate.

The official Star Wars Instagram page has uploaded a video of the vintage Kenner Imperial Shuttle commercial. For my fellow old farts, this is sure to be a trip down memory lane. Even the worbly soundtrack on the low resolution VHS copy which had me wishing I could adjust the tracking was reminiscent of my childhood.
