We earlier shared an article that said one of the locations used for Episode VII will be Iceland. The site Cinema Blend takes this once step further and suggest that this means a return to Hoth for Episode VII (Norway was used for the Hoth shoots in Episode V).
I’ve been pretty passionate that Episode VII should feature Hoth at some point for one reason. The PT and OT seemed fairly disconnected. A desolate abandoned sub-zero Hoth would still bear the scars of the Battle of Hoth some 33 years later. Showing a burnt out AT-AT carcass and perhaps the disabled remains of the Bright Hope hanging in orbit would go a long way toward rooting the Sequel Trilogy in the same galaxy as the not so distant events of the Original Trilogy.

I try not to flood the front page here with the incessant Episode VII rumors that flood my inbox. Especially ones like this that seem to be on the perpetual rumor / denial / rumor / denial loop. Nevertheless, there appears to be heat to the combined Cumberbatch and Oldman rumors again. This time from a well placed source. Due to the magnitude of those actors, I’m sharing the story. Again.
The site Hit Flix is reporting that Star Wars Episode VII will shoot from May through September and that the principal casting is complete. The fact that principal casting is complete is a bit of a surprise since no confirmations have been made directly by the production team.
Gary Oldman confirmed to Sky Movies that he has been approached for a role in Episode VII.
