During what is generally called the Golden Age of collecting I missed a lot of stuff because I was pretty laser focused on collecting Jedi. I guess I wasn’t so much a serious collector as a serious niche collector back then. I missed a lot of good stuff; but sometimes, even with an intense focus on a particular area of collecting you can still miss something. Not because you didn’t want it at the time, but because you just never find it. K’kruhk is maybe my #1 Holy Grail action figure. I don’t have K’kruhk, and based on the aftermarket prices, I never will unless he is re-issued. It was a perfect storm scenario for missing a figure. K’kruhk was a TRU exclusive and the closest TRU was 50 miles away. K’kruhk was part of the final wave of a line. K’kruhk was (and still is) a fan favorite cult character with tons of cache. He’s got cache up the yin-yang, baby! He was in the outstanding Dark Horse Republic comics, then the Dark Times storyline, and finally the Legacy series; he was also in the Tartakovsky Clone Wars micro-series. He's bona fide!*
The figure, as it was issued in the waning days of the Legacy Collection falls short of being 10/10 perfect, but is still an outstanding figure and worthy of being straight repacked into the Vintage Collection (or so I’m told, have I mentioned that I don’t have this figure?). What's more, we are way past due for something like this. The last time we had a Jedi character in TVC that wasn't a Skywalker (I'm including Rey here) or a Kenobi was VC 102 Ahsoka Tano. That was 2012. What about the Black Series 3.75 line? Well, it was the same Ahsoka. That was 2017 (double check my facts on this Chris). No Kanan. No Cal Kestis. Nobody else from The Clone Wars. I get it, those would be new figures and times are tough; but this would be a straight repack. I would buy it. I think a lot of other people would too.
