Hasbro Star Wars Q&A Answers

Once you’ve read the answers. please stop into the forum thread to discuss.

Q.  If the ESB Slave 1 is a success (which it will be), what’s the chance of possibly retooling some other out of scale ships to fit them into that ‘larger vehicle’ price point the CW Y-Wing and ARC fighter sold at last year?  Specifically, I’d like to see the Tie Bomber redone. It looks ridiculous when displayed next to the other new updated Ties. The Tie Bomber would be a great candidate. - BIGJIM

A.  We just did a great update (with re-tooling) to the TIE Bomber. We feel it’s a great size right now and does not need to be super-sized, but felt that it needed to be updated in the cockpit area (consistent with our other recent TIE updates) and the bomb dropping mechanism was also changed.  It’s a great update and available at Wal-Mart - showing up just last week.  Check it out….if its success keeps going, there will be more enthusiasm for updating additional vehicles, so please show your support.

Q.  What are the chances that we’ll see case fillers like Momaw Nadon (Hammerhead), Death Star Trooper, Galactic Marine, VOTC Han Solo, Jedi Luke, and other figures along those lines instead of just acrry forwards from previous wave? It seem that cases are being packed with the same carry forward greatest hits type figures that can be found in the Legends line anyway. Mixing things up in the Legends line by adding bounty hunters and other OT figures has made that line more attractive, so don’t you think it would work for the TVC line as well? - Trooper31

A.  We are limited in the number of figures that we can do in Vintage - either new, refreshed, or greatest hits in Vintage packaging.  So while we want to see many of these figures as quickly as possible, we need to put the best mix of figures that we feel will keep overall productivity at the highest level.  The reality is that the greatest hits-type figures are also some of our best sellers, similar to previous lines.  Once we have enough of these, we can take chances on more obscure figures, since we’ll have great figures (Vader, Jedi Luke, Anakin, Obi-Wan, R2, Stormtrooper, etc) we can carryforward to make sure productivity stays high.  In short, these figures pay the bills and allow the more obscure figures to make it to retail.
