Hasbro Marvel Q&A 2011 #1

Q. With the Iron Man 2 line becoming more of an all around Avengers themed line, can we expect re-releases of the IM2 figures, or maybe some of the ones that didn’t make it to retail like Black Widow and a single carded Nick Fury?

A. Some re-deco’s of the IM2 figures will be included.  Black Widow and Nick Fury are not part of the Armored Avenger line.

Q. The Marvel Universe line has evolved over the years, but one thing hasn’t: the female mold. Any chance of upgrading the wimmin in the line?

A. We have mentioned that our new X-23 figure will be the introduction to our new female sculpt, with added articulation and other corrected proportions.

Q. We like the Deadpool mold from the Wolverine Origins line, but why not upgrade Wade (hah!) to the actual Marvel Universe type articulation so he doesn’t tower over people like Cyclops and Captain America (characters he’s supposed to be the same height as.)

A. The height issue is something that we address as often as we can.  And by doing so, we’ve created new body sculpts for some characters that we’ve done in the pass (i.e our new Jim Lee Cyclops figure).  There’s no way Deadpool is going to tower over that body!
