Victoria is an artist, writer, photographer, and podcast host / producer. You know, one of those omni-talented ambitious people who inspires you to do more. Many know her best from the Victoria's Cantina YouTube channel where she reviews Star Wars and Jurassic park toys and collectibles. On her YouTube channel, you will also find the Cantina Chatter Podcast, but her reach extends throughout the social media realm. She is a popular follow on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and now Tik Tok. I'm far too old to understand what Tik Tok is, but I know it's a thing because Tom Brady uses it. Also, I now have the Baby Yoda song stuck in my head. You'd be well advised to follow her on any or all of those platforms.
While Victoria collects many things, to include The Black Series and Jurassic Park, she has a deep passion for the world-building aspects of the 3.75" Star Wars line. Her credentials as to that passion can often be seen over her shoulder in her videos. Want more proof she's a kindred spirit? Watch this video.
While many of us were off licking our wounds (or pouting) during the dark times of the hobby, she was another voice in the community fighting for a return of 3.75" in 2017 with a Change.org petition. To that end, she served as an advisor on the current petition.
We here at Bantha Skull pride ourselves on no cheap shots and making sure our criticisms are fair. Victoria probably succeeds at our mission statement better than we do. I have never heard or read either of those things from her. She is an amazing advocate for the hobby by speaking passionately about what she loves, and we are thrilled she is in the #FightForTVC.
Finally, you may also remember Victoria from her groundbreaking interview with Angela Staines, one of the famed Tonnika Sisters from the cantina. Fans have been begging for figures of the Tonnika sisters for at least two decades now, but a reported likeness rights impasse was in the way. However, through this outreach, Victoria learned that Angela is now willing to grant the likeness rights. The importance of this cannot be understated. If the Tonnika Sisters ever get announced, it will break the internet. But we're likely going to need another grass roots push to make it happen. Stay tuned. There are many more fights to come.
We are now in the next phase of the campaign. How do you #FightForTVC during this phase? If you haven't already done so, please sign and share the petition for Hasbro make more NEW TVC figures per year. When you share, be sure to use the hash tags #FightForTVC, #BackTVC and #save375. If you've already shared, give it a couple of days and share it again. YOUR passion is what will get this done.
