Walmart Resets With A Generous Star Wars Section

If you've been paying attention recently, there was a little bit of a scare in the TVC community. With their most recent reset, Target deleted their lone Vintage Collection peg. What's worse is that the two TVC DPCI's in the Target system were zeroed out. This was leading to some fears that the bullseye was dropping the Vintage Collection. I held off reporting on this because, well, back when our primordial group was forming on the Rebel Scum forums, someone would occasionally post "Walmart is canceling Star Wars". We turned it into a drinking game. Whenever it was posted, "everybody drink":

Everybody drink

It became an annual tradition. What was happening is that whenever the line look switched over, Walmart would temporarily de-allocate the Star Wars section. Someone would invariably talk to the rare c-suite Walmart stocker who would inform them that Star Wars was cancelled, which would then be breathlessly reported on the boards. Of course, a week or so later, the store would reset, and Star Wars was uncancelled. I was hoping this was the case with Target this time around, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a speck nervous.

As mentioned above, this "cancellation" always came when the line look was changing over, so it was a mechanism to clearance out the remaining stock of the old line look. Obviously TVC isn't changing, but I was hoping Target was just switching their DPCI over for the same reason (to clearance out some lingering Lando stock). As Yak Face reported, this appears to be the case. TVC is back at Target under the new DPCI 087-26-0772. Everybody drink!

Another reason why I was nervous is that it appeared to be a part of a larger trend. My Walmart halved their TVC pegs from 4 to 2. Worse, they were stuck with four figures that would likely never sell (Nomad Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Corvus Ahsoka and Vel Sartha). Just enough stock for the store to not replenish. Much to my joy, the store reset back to a quartet of TVC pegs:

And those fateful four figures? They've been moved to a makeshift clearance section:

WM Clearance

Now the decks will be cleared for the Mandalorian wave so this store can get more...Corvus Ashokas that will never sell (she's being carried forward into that case).

Update: The 4 TVC stragglers were moved back to the full priced pegs. They will never sell.
