YVH-1
YVH1 (Yuuzhan Vong Hunter One) was a combat droid developed to fight against the Yuzhaan Vong during the (Legends) New Jedi Order storyline. The driods were specifically designed to have the appearance of a robotic version of the Yuzhaan Vong themselves. Since the Vong hated technology (unlike Kip Dynamite), the droids served to demoralize and enrage the Vong during combat. Fans assumed the droid was a Terminator rip off. Shame on them. Star Wars never rips off other sources.
It’s a strange looking droid. I wasn’t into the source material, but Inunderstand the fictional logic behind the look. The figure itself is sculpted pretty well. It has a lot of detail, and the simple paint job hits the right spots. The figure is almost fully SA, with the notable exception of swivel shoulders instead of ball joints. The figure comes with a blaster, which fits fairly well in the droid’s hand. My one complaint would be hat the legs are sculpted too close together. A slightly wider stance would have done this figure good.
The BAD parts could be assembled by acquiring enough different figures to make 2 complete droids.
