Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have released the 2014 edition of their Vintage vs. Modern report.  Head over to check out which vintage Kenner figures still haven’t been made in the modern line and which ones still aren’t good enough.

The site Original Props Blog has acquired 237 sand of previously unpublished Lucas Archives photographs taken circa 1996/1997.  Now we have even more ammunition to nitpick the accuracy of action figures!

In the comments section of this Facebook post, Dan, drops a lot if insight into the Black Series including the fact that it may be used to clear out Hasbro’s “parking lot” as well as some heretofore unheard figure rumors.  Clearing out the parking lot may be a bitter sweet thing as Dan indicates. 

Update:  We have received word that this report is not accurate from a credible source.  I’m leaving the article open for now as more of a talking point.

I feel I’ve been very angry lately and this one has me spitting nails.  Check out our review of the (not) 41st Elite Corps Clone Trooper.

Because wave three has managed to get to some brick and mortar stores as reported here and on other sites, there is a sense that perennial distribution problems may be getting better.  But I think those reports are isolated and the exception.

Disney Interactive has teamed up with LucasArts to announce Star Wars: Assault Team which is (another?) turn based “card” game for mobile devices.  I guess Star Wars: Force Collection is now the Windows ME of Star Wars card based video games.

Welcome Chopper to the droid line-up.  The description vaguely reminds me of how Poochie was pitched on the Simpsons.

The blokes across the pond have a list of rumored upcoming Black Series, Mission Series, Saga Legends and Class II product which adds further confirmation to Jedi Temple Archive’s assortment rumor from a few days ago.  It also includes a few previously unreported Black Series figures.  I would say I’m excited about the new announcements, but rehashes of core characters is exactly what is tiring me of this line.

The Boutros77 dioramas on Flickr have taken the community by storm.  Many of the collecting sites are abuzz with excitement over his excellent workmanship. He let us know that he has set up this contact page where he can be reached if you would like to commission him for a diorama project.
