Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have teamed up with Victoria’s Cantina (YouTube channel / Twitter) to provide a Hasbro Q&A from SDCC. There is a lot of Vintage Collection information revealed here, but connecting the dots, I feel like we’re in familiar Vintage Collection territory. I feels like “wait ‘til next year” again. But there is reason for our core audience to be excited.
At the advice and lead of our colleagues, we have removed this story. I am leaving this place holder only to address Litzky PR.

Our friends over at Yakface have some hi-res images of the soon-to-be-released Forces of Destiny figures from Hasbro. In case you missed it at SWCO, these are sculpted to match the animation style of the upcoming Forces of Destiny animated shorts, featuring the women of Star Wars. Head on over and take a look…
If you’ve been part of this hobby for any period of time, you’ve seen a number of products grace the shelves that leave you scratching your head. Rival Mattel’s stock tanked amid bigger than expected losses for the quarter, dropping 20% over the past 12 months. Despite this, as well a general malaise in the retail industry, Hasbro’s report of strong quarterly results caused its stock to jump 15% Monday, and 30% over the past 12 months. A certain brand close to our hearts contributed…
While poking around at some publicly-available information on a major retailer’s website, we came across some things that may not be what we first assumed they were. A friendly investigative automaton has filled in some holes for us, and I think we’ll all be really excited to see what might be coming down the pike in the near future. In a bit of a left turn, we suspect that Hasbro has picked up the licensing for the 1959 United Artists classic Some Like it Hot which features Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon disguising themselves as women to avoid the mob. The first figure in the line looks to be Jack Lemmon’s character, but the hair color appears off (typical Hasbro). Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have the details.
Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have posted their Q&A with Hasbro from the floor of Celebration Anaheim. While still being coy about the state of the toy line after June, there were a few reassuring answers given (assuming Hasbro was referring to the 3.75” scale) and one truly bizarre one about the height of the 6” Leia in Boussh disguise. Click through to find out what was asked and answered.
But for the love of GOD, Hasbro, could you please just answer yes or no to the question of whether or not 14 POA 3.75” will continue. If that way of collecting has come to an end, why would there be any reason not to admit it? Do you think those of us who currently hate 5 POA will hate it more if you tell us that 14 POA 3.75” is done?
Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives and Yakface have already been on the case of reporting upcoming case assortments, and we too can now join the fray and corroborate their reports. Click through for what we’ve learned about upcoming Black Series, Mission Series and Saga Legends assortments.
UPDATE: Additional legends assortment added with pic!
I saw something at Target today that seriously made me wonder about how well Hasbro is managing their business. Not the Star Wars brand, but the business. Click through for my two cents.
