Everything Still On The Table With Less Than Two Days To Go

There are under two days left until the latest Vintage Collection HasLab comes to a close. The high drama is over. The Cantina funded on July 5th and will go into production ensuring that the line gets its one and only release of the Tonnika Sisters. The magnitude of the last part of that sentence cannot be overstated, and I fear that too many collectors won't appreciate that fact until it's too late. So that hard part is done thanks to some heroic and unprecedented backing on the fourth to last day of the campaign on July 5th. Now comes the smaller drama: the tier unlocks.

At the time of this publication, we are hovering around 9450 backers. To get all of the tier unlocks, we will need to get to 17,000 backers by 11:59 PM ET tomorrow night. Can we get there? I need to channel John Madden and say that all possibilities are possible. It could fall short or it could squeak over the 17K line. Also, the team that scores the most will win the game. A lot will ride on how well the campaign performs today. Let's look at the last day totals for the previous two Vintage Collection campaigns.

Razor Crest: 7,025
Ghost: 6,832

If the Cantina can come close to those numbers it puts us right around the 17,000 backers needed to unlock Arleil Schous. Now you might think it's ridiculous to expect the Cantina to put up numbers similar to those to campaigns which were runaway successes. The Crest and Ghost both got to 8,000 backers on day 5 of their respective campaigns. The Cantina took until day 29 to reach that total. But on the flip side, the Cantina is actually outperforming the Ghost during later stages. Look at the totals for the respective 3rd to last days:

Ghost: 458
Cantina: 604

So if the Cantina outperformed the Ghost on the 3rd to last day, who's to say it can't come close to its numbers on the final day. If the Cantina can get to 10,200 today, matching the Ghost's final day performance would mean Arleil comes home. Finally, if you're reading this and you're one of the "I'm not backing until all the tiers unlock" people, that's not how this works. It would become a self-fulfilling prophecy if too many collectors took that approach. Declare your intentions now and back today. That's how you ensure all tiers get unlocked. If late tomorrow it looks like Arleil is out of reach, just cancel your order and you're not out a dime.
