There's a concept in Intelligence that two or more pieces of declassified information can be combined to deduce a classified piece of information (i.e. just because something isn't classified, does not mean you should talk about it). Tom Clancy reportedly did just that when researching his books. Obviously the future of the Star Wars line is not cloak and dagger spycraft, but perhaps we can apply this concept and make bigger takeaways when combining two sets of answers.
1. Gaming Greats
First, our friend Victoria from Victoria's Cantina asks if newly tooled figures will be offered in the Gaming Greats line:
Eric said that newly tooled figures will not be a part of the Gaming Greats line. Any newly tooled video game-based figures will be released in the mainline instead.
Next, the perpetually cheerful Mark Newbold of Fantha Tracks asks if the new Gaming Greats TVC line will be limited to modern games, or will Hasbro source figures from the Golden Age of Star Wars Gaming: The 90's:
Mark: I mean "perpetually cheerful" as a supreme compliment. In a largely cynical hobby, it's great to see someone with such a joyful disposition. But, back to the point, Eric mentions that stretching back to the 80's and 90's is a possibility.
Possible Takeaway: Given that a) newly tooled figures are not planned for Gaming Greats and b) figures from 90's video games are a possibility, it's a very short list that meets this intersection. I can only think of the comic pack Kyle Katarn and the Phase I Darktrooper as possible repacks that meet this criteria.
2. Helmeted Figures
Sébastien from Planete Star Wars asks why Hasbro is putting an unpainted head under the helmet of the new Gaming Greats Purge Trooper:
Eric answers that when they do that, it's because Hasbro wants to have that helmet available for a potential future removable helmet figure, and they don't want to have to retool it.
Next, Jake from From 4-Lom to Zuckuss asks if the Gaming Greats Purge Trooper will have a removable helmet:
Eric answers that the figure does not because if the character does not remove their helmet in entertainment, Hasbro errs on the side of the figure not having a removable helmet.
Possible Takeaway: The recently released VC186 - Boba Fett appears to have a generic head under the helmet. Based on these answers we know that this is because a) Hasbro wants to have the tooling ready for a potential future figure that would have a removable helmet, and b) that hypothetical figure would be sourced from entertainment where the character removes their helmet. Boba Fett does not remove his helmet in the OT. The helmet is specific to Boba Fett due to the dent, and can't be re-used for Jango Fett. The only entertainment where Boba Fett removes his helmet is in The Mandalorian. Perhaps this indicates that Hasbro is planning a "Re-Armored" Boba Fett from The Mandalorian, or they at least are keeping their options open for one.
