Geonosis 7 - Dooku’s Escape

Description:

Count Dooku avoids the pursuing Republic forces, and makes it to the hangar where his personal starship awaits. Before he can take off, he is chased down by Obi-Wan and Anakin. After making quick work of both young Jedi, Yoda arrives to face down his old Padawan. After a stalemate of sorts, Dooku creates a diversion and manages his escape. The Republic wins the first battle of The Clone Wars, but the future is grim.

Notes:
1.  The Count Dooku figures from either the TLC Geonosis 2 pack or the Sith Evolutions pack are the best available, with only the face sculpt being different.
2.  Our AOTC Obi-Wan is probably ready for an upgrade at some point, while the AOTC Anakin is pretty excellent, other than the face sculpt/paint.
3.  Sith Lightning accessories are abundant throughout the history of the line, and will allow you to recreate Dooku's pwning of Anakin.
4.  Obi-Wan is able to deflect nicely. The back of the Geonosis Arena playset serves as an excellent backdrop in all of these hangar scenes.
5.  The two very good Dooku figures only differ in the face sculpt. One is a bit gentler, while the other is angrier and more aggressive. Take your pick depending on which scene you prefer.
6.  Back in the day, Hasbro probably could have knocked out a battle damaged Obi-Wan variant.
7.  This is a cool scene to set up, and the TBS Anakin is extremely posable and able to replicate his fighting stances quite well.
8.  The removable hand is fine for this scene, even though the arm gets sliced at the forearm. You could go for the magnetized 2002 Saga Anakin, but that figure is pretty terrible.
9.  I always thought it was funny how Anakin ended up snuggling with Obi-Wan here.
10.  Sigh. Yes, that's the 5POA Solo Yoda. I can't help it. It's the best looking walking Yoda we have.
11.  And it has just enough articulation to catch some Sith Lightning.
12.  But once you need any kind of fighting stance, you've got to switch to a better Yoda. I chose the one that comes with the Droideka in the TLC Arena 2-pack. The TVC figure will also work, it's just got a dirty robe.
13.  Yoda uses the Force to hold up some falling debris, while Dooku exits stage left.
14.  The gang is reunited, absent a hand.

The Missing:
These are characters that belong in this scene for which Hasbro has never made a figure. Clicking through on the following entries will bring you to the M.I.A.F. entry for that character.

Scene Complete
The only thing that is really missing here is Dooku's Solar Sailer. We have all the figures, although Dooku and Obi-Wan should get an update in TVC soon.
