This already was an outstanding figure, and Hasbro completely upped the game in the paint apps making this version much more accurate.  BUT THE DAMNED SWITCH BLADES.  This figure really needs the parenthetical “Kamino Conflict” designation on the card’s name pill due to the permanently extended blades on the forearms.  While they add a unique wrinkle to the figure, they limit the overall use of the figure in displays.  The upgraded paint apps, including the more muted purple jumpsuit, were enough to make this figure stand out from the previous releases.  8 out of 10.

This is a cool figure, but agree 100% with Chris above.  The gauntlets with the extended blades make this a very specific figure, which represents Jango Fett when he and Obi-Wan are sliding down the side of the landing platform.  Jango engages the hidden blades to stop the slide, and after cutting Obi-Wan loose from the cable launched previously from his gauntlet, he then uses the blades to climb back to the platform and return to Boba waiting in Slave I.  Besides the gauntlet blades, the inclusion of only the Z-6 jetpack is another indicator that this figure is specific to Kamino.  That was the model he wore when firing the missile at Obi-Wan, and which was destroyed shortly thereafter during the tussle.  Jango wore a JT-12 jetpack when we see him later on Geonosis.  If you overlook the permanently extended blades, the figure can also be placed on board Slave I, to recreate the Geonosian asteroid firefight scene.  At that moment, he wore the included headset accessory, and no backpack.

Jango comes with a poncho (I don’t know if this is a gratuitous accessory, because I don’t recall it from the film) which works nicely.  He also has his signature twin blasters, which are gripped tightly in his hands and fit snugly in the holsters, which are part of a separately sculpted (but not easily removable) assembly.  The helmet is soft and rubbery, but fits over the head well.  The viewfinder does not rotate, but we never see it do so in the film, anyway.

Paint applications are great, and improved over previous iterations of this figure.  The articulation is nearly perfect, with the exception being a lack of ball jointed hips.  Less importantly, you could ask for ball jointed articulation in the wrists.  Or not.

Overall, this figure is pretty great, and is loaded with accessories.  It’s not quite perfect, and due to the inclusion of the scene-specific gauntlet blades, we can’t actually call this a definitive figure.  Including swap-out forearms (with and without blades), ball-jointed hips and wrists, a removable head (without the neck post remaining), and a JT-12 jetpack would make this an Ultimate Jango Fett.

Verdict:  Re-sculpt (Low priority)

As a not-quite-definitive sculpt, along with modest demand on Ebay, this figure could warrant a resculpt down the line.  If there is a renaissance for Attack of the Clones along with a more robust TVC line, then an upgrade would be warranted.  In the meantime, this is a terrific figure - we just can’t close the book on Jango yet.

Verdict Guide:
Re-sculpt = The figure is not definitive, and a new version should be developed.
Re-issue = This version is definitive (or close enough), and shows sufficient secondary market demand to warrant a straight repack.
No Action = This release does not require new attention.
