The First Order Snowtrooper is one of those designs that I personally find rather uninspiring.  I think it’s probably because they were barely on screen.  A pair can be seen standing near Phasma during General Hux’s big speech.

There weee 3 snowtroopers released in the TFA line.  This basic one, the officer that comes in the 2-pack with Snap Wexley, and one that is packed with the First Order Snow Speeder.

This figure stands solidly, has a good sculpt (for what it’s worth), and the paint applications are good, I suppose.  They are limited to a few touches of black, while most of the markings appear to be sharp looking tampos.

It seems, for all intents and purposes, to be identical to the 2-pack officer that we just reviewed recently.  There are some very slight variations to the paint applications, but these seem incidental, possibly due to different factories at play.  The only difference is that this basic trooper has no pauldron.

The weapon is gripped by the figure fairly tightly.  Unlike stormtrooper figures, this trooper has no hip notch, or holster of any kind.  Instead he is equipped with a kama, so there is no place to stow the blaster.  The articulation is basic, but unlike a lot of figures in this line, the head makes pretty good use of the ball jointed neck, mostly because it lacks the pauldron.

Anyway, this is a dull enough character, and the 5POA aspect does it no favors.  However, that would seem to suffice for the couple that were seen in the film, so a pair of these would work nicely for you weird, slightly unhinged, General Hux motivational speech diorama.  I’m pretty sure Randy has one, and that’s…OK.
