I’ve been putting this figure off for a long time.  Truth is, I’ve been skulking.  You see, I really wanted to make the Better Than Ezra joke with this figure.  But I was beaten to the punch by someone you might know.  His name is Every Single Person On The Internet.  So I pouted.  Then I had to wait until I was in the pocket where I could bring it back.  I consulted with a few experts and it turns out that pocket is right never.  So I might as well review the figure.  Just as an “FYI”, those same experts said that “not” jokes are primed for a major comeback.  Stick that in your back pocket for your next party.  Hey Bill, these cheese balls are fantastic….NOT!  You’ll kill.

This figure combines the worst of two 5POA worlds.  It takes all the dullness of a figure that has minimal posing options and adds in the lack of play options of a figure with minimal accessories.  It comes with Ezra’s pilfered ADP AT-DP Driver helmet.  You can put it on the figure, or you can take it off the figure.  When you get bored doing that, you can do it again.  Or I guess you could put the helmet on the figure’s foot if you’re okay with the stares you’ll get from the neighbors.  Adding insult to the limited accessory injury is the fact that this is a halfling figure to begin with.  You don’t get a lot for your money here.  This figure really should have come with Ezra’s staple gun lightsaber.  I have to assume that it didn’t because Disney was once again playing the “I’ve got a secret” game, and they wouldn’t let Hasbro spoil that wacky design.

Here’s the conflicting part.  The figure looks spot on.  The profile is a dead ringer for the on-screen Bridger.  Filoni made some odd color choices for the character’s wardrobe.  I haven’t seen this much brown, orange and yellow since my parent’s 1970’s kitchen in the mid 80’s.  Based on that I can deduce that Ezra’s outfit is made out of linoleum and formica.  That’s a little tip for you cosplayers.  Nevertheless, Hasbro accurately recreates this throwback color scheme.  The paint application on the figure’s right eyebrow on my sample gets a little off the rails.  It looks like an elderly bon vivant who can no longer accurately paint her eyebrows on, but she goes to the cocktail party anyway. It also looks like a half-cocked eyebrow, and that works for a season 1 Bridger.  I really want to score this figure higher because of how well it nails the likeness of its on-screen counterpart, but I can’t.  It’s a tiny, minimally accessorised, 5POA figure.  It probably deserves a 2, but I’ll give it a 3 since it’s instantly recognizable as its source.
