Along with perhaps the Jedi Training Academy, this is one of the better Star Tours multi-packs.  It’s got some nice troop variants, iconic villains, and a unique large accessory.

The Imperial Sky Troopers seemed to have been inspired by The Force Unleashed.  They are modified stormtroopers, with armor patterns similar to that of the Imperial Incinerator Troopers, along with the flight ability of the Jump Troopers.  This figure is based on the VOTC stormtrooper, which by the time this was released, was already getting quite tired. The narrow stance/lack of ball jointed hips, the unforgiving hands that struggle to grip the weapons, and the wonky helmet sculpt made this a scourge that had run its course not long after first seeing the light of day.  Nevertheless, many collectors love their Imperial troop variants, so this was another one to hunt down.  Thankfully the set gave us two of them.  It’s worth noting that another Disney set (to be reviewed soon) came with a nearly identical Sky Trooper, although for some reason Hasbro changed the color of the pattern across the upper chest.  Weird move, there.

Boba Fett comes in this set as well, and he does so in his ROTJ colors and loadout.  That’s not a terrible thing, because that ROTJ variant of VC09 wasn’t the easiest to track down.  Or maybe it was.  I don’t remember.  Of course, we’ve mentioned multiple times (Chris is practically apoplectic about it) that both ‘best available” versions of Fett need to be retired and all new Boba Fett (ESB and ROTJ) should be on the way at some point before the sun burns out.

The Lord Darth Vader is also part of the set, but it’s a garbage mold with crappy hands, swivel shoulders, and swivel elbows.  But while the figure can be tossed aside, his “hover platform” is an interesting inclusion.  Having not been to the Star Tours attraction, I don’t know if Vader appears on this hover platform, but it seems like a really awesome accessory that can be used in multiple ways in any diorama.  At first, I thought Hasbro missed an opportunity to sculpt the Imperial logo on the platform, but then realized that means it could be used for any generic purpose.  The platform has a peg to help a figure stand, as well as a removable control panel.  Sadly, there is no transparent stand in the set to help provide a hovering illusion.  One oddity of note is that there is a slot carved into the top of the platform right next to the hole for the control panel.  I can only assume that there was initially some other kind of attachment meant for this during the prototype stage, which was then dropped, perhaps for cost reasons.

The troopers, ROTJ Fett, and hover platform make this set worth a look.
