This figure has a singular significant flaw.  Well two occurrences of the same flaw.  Greedo’s eyes are perfectly circular.  The figure’s eyes are oblong ovals.  Truth be told I’m not sure I would have caught this issue on my own, so I must credit the source of this discovery.  Paul Harrison mentioned this in his review on Jedi Temple Archives.  I usually don’t read other reviews in advance for fear of being prejudiced.  I’m glad I did in this case because I probably would have embarrassed myself by giving this figure a 10 score.  When looking at stills from the movie, this figure’s head seems too narrow as well.  It’s almost as if it was smooshed which distorted the features.  This actually happened when recasting the Stormtrooper helmets for Return of the Jedi.  I wonder if it happened here.

Now that we’re past that ugliness, good lord the rest of the figure is outstanding.  I think the aspect I like the most is the detailing.  The griminess of the vest is so lifelike that I’m fairly certain that if I search long enough I could find evidence of dried peanut butter.  The filthiness of the vest continues to the rest of Greedo’s outfit.  It looks like the greasy overalls of a shop mechanic.  Give the parallelism of Tatooine to the old west and the fact that old west inhabitants often had a single outfit they wore day in and day out, this seems right.  Even highfalutin Al Swearengen had the hygiene of a hobo in those old timey times.  The figure is completed by yet another perfectly functioning holster in the 6” line which accommodates Greedo’s well worn blaster.

When it comes to the articulation in the 6” line, it’s getting to the point where it’s only worth noting when something doesn’t work as with the Stormtrooper based figures.  All of the premium articulation is here and almost every bit of it works well.  The only point of articulation that doesn’t function as smoothly as I’d like is the ball jointed neck.  The sculpt of the back of the head prevents the head from tilting backward.  It’s a minor issue.  It’s a shame this figure was released this early in the line and in the same ratio as luminaries such as Boba Fett and the Stormtrooper.  If it was released later in the line and in lower numbers (or as an exclusive), it might have had a better reception.  If you’re itching to make a purchase, pick yourself up a Greedo.  There’s plenty of them piling up in stores and it’s a pretty swell figure.  You won’t regret it.  9 out of 10.

Correction:  I forgot to mention that the Greedo figure is too tall compared to the Han Solo figure.  I had to put the Han Solo figure on a Tom Cruise crate for the final picture.
