I may be slightly delirious as I write this, given that the Giants matched the largest comeback in franchise history to beat the Cardinals.  This was particularly important to me since I now live in Phoenix, and spent the week trash talking my co-workers.  It was difficult to be enthusiastic, following the 40-0 embarrassment last Sunday, but it all worked out.  Let’s just hope Saquon doesn’t suffer the same fate as Aaron Rodgers.  But enough of that…

ARC Trooper Blitz was one of the 3 main ARC Troopers that were visible in the 2-episode Kamino ARC from Season 3 of The Clone Wars.  Blitz was front and center alongside Colt and Havoc when training clone cadets to be ARC Troopers.  Later, when Grievous, Ventress, and the Separatists attacked Kamino, the three, along with the non-speaking Hammer, rallied the clone troopers to defend their homeward.  While Colt and Havoc were killed during the invasion, Blitz led a group of ARF Troopers in destroying one of the attacking Trident Drills.  Blitz survived the battle, as did Hammer.

Hasbro partnered with the always awesome Walmart to bring us a trio of ARC Trooper figures sourced to The Clone Wars.  So, for the 9th, and possibly final time (at least for a while), Banthaskull brings you a gallery and review of a TVC ARC Trooper figure!

Since you’ve gotten this review essentially 8 other times, here’s (yet again) a brief summary:  The figure was amazing when it debuted in late 2020 when we got the 3 pack of “501st Legion ARC Troopers”.  Those 3 figures were eventually re-released in the main line, along with 3 shared exclusive ARC’s sourced to the Battlefront 2 video game, and now 3 via Walmart based on TCW.  The figure has one major wart:  The plastic kama greatly restricts the range of motion of the legs.  Beyond that, there isn’t much to complain about, although I personally find the figures to have been assembled somewhat loosely, in that the joints, accessories, and helmet all lack a certain snugness or tightness which can make the figure feel a bit…unfinished.  But the paint schemes, sculpts, articulation (despite the kama) are all outstanding.

The only distinguishing aspect of the figure is the paint scheme, along with the distinctive diamond pattern on the kama.  Even the headsculpt lacks any differentiation, as it matches that of Echo, and all 3 Battlefront ARC’s.  Fives, Jesse, Havoc, and Colt had some distinctive haircuts, facial hair, or tattoos that were unique to them.

Since the mold is 3 years old, it lacks the newer style of hip articulation, so at this point it’s a minor frustration.  I probably would drop the rating from a 9 to an 8, but just for consistency’s sake, I’ll maintain the 9/10 score.

I think most collectors would agree that we are “ARC’ed out” at this point, and need a break.  However, that said, there’s definitely also a bit of a feeling of incompleteness for some.  In an effort to complete the crews, Hasbro could do ARC Trooper Hammer to properly complete the Kamino storyline, and also give us Cobalt Hero to round out the batch of ARC’s from Battlefront. And if Hasbro needed an excuse to make another trio to keep the pattern growing, they could consider adding either an updated Fordo or maybe even give a nod to the old EU with Alpha-17.  I’m not saying I’m losing any sleep over the absence of these characters, I’m just saying that Hasbro did leave a little unfinished business on the table.  It’s not exactly a Velken Tezeri situation, but we do have some incomplete crews…
