The overwhelming response to our reviews of the previous three figures in this carbonized TVC subset can mean only one thing: invasion our little corner of the community isn’t particularly interested in these. Well, too bad. Here they are, and now you have to read one more review before we all move on with our lives and focus on what’s really important: Season 2 of The Mandalorian, and whatever the heck will be revealed for the HasLab Razor Crest Unlock #4 and #5.
Leaving behind the special nature of Cara Dune, due to the exposed face and arms, we’re back to a fully clothed/armored/helmeted figure for which the carbonized process seems best suited. But just like Cara Dune, this version of Ol’ Mando kind of gives off the impression that he just emerged from a pool. Unfortunately, in the scene mentioned in Cara’s review yesterday, in which she goes up against the Raider AT-ST while in a small lake, Mr. Djarin had already acquired his full Beskar armor by that point. So this figure doesn’t work for that scene. Sorry, I did my best.
Anyway, the cardback is double thickness, and sports the impressive chrome effect. The artwork is the same as the earlier release. The figure is also identical in sculpt, and differs only with regard to the carbonized paint app. If it floats your boat, cool. If not, move along.
So putting these expensive but hard-to-find figures behind us, we can turn our attention to the very reason these figures even exist in the first place. Enjoy Season 2 today!
