If you don’t feel like looking at this figure this morning, GOOD!  I didn’t feel like photographing it, so we’re even. Unfortunately, if you want do a complete Saga Collection retrospective, you have to, you know, complete it.  So here we are.

This figure is a repaint of the POTJ - Aurra Sing figure.  It carries forward all the foibles from the original release.  If you want to read them in-depth, please consult that original review.  Since this is a repaint, we will list them bullet style instead of rehashing old news:

  • missing head spike
  • odd duck like stance
  • lacks the articulation necessary to interact with the sniper rifle
  • bizarre one working holster / one molded holster set up

For this specific release, it’s notable that this is not a gratuitous Hasbro-invented paint scheme.  This is actually how Aurra Sing appears in the Star Wars: The Bounty Hunters - Aurra Sing comic book:

So this figure is kind of neat in that it’s likely to be the only comic book based Aurra Sing we will ever get.  Too bad the base figure stinks by today’s standards. Aside from the new paint scheme, Hasbro elevated this release over the POTJ figure in a couple of other areas.  Obviously it includes a stand by virtue of its inclusion in The Saga Collection.  It also includes a light saber presumably from one of Aurra’s Jedi quarry.  Finally the figure was treated to a soft goods scarf in case she wants to go touring around Italy on a Vespa.  The POTJ figure got a three score, so this figure gets a bonus point for the extra-ness.  It’s a 4 out of 10.

Finally, I wanted the diorama shot to be of Aurra riding a STAP, but after an hour and a half search, I couldn’t find mine.  So I decided to use my imagination.  Don’t worry.  I won’t do that again.
