Moff Jerjerrod was was a nervous fellow.  Vader’s visit to Bigger Death Star was stressful enough, but that was nothing compared to the Emperor’s visit.  Life’s not easy for the guy in charge of a planet-killing space station.  He was probably thankful when he realized that the thing was about to be blowed up by those crazy Rebels (again).

This figure wasn’t particularly advanced in 2006.  It had articulation at most of the key points in the upper body (ball jointed neck, swivel shoulders, elbows, wrists, and waist) but other than swivel hips, there’s nothing else going on down there.  The hard plastic lower tunic renders the hips useless anyway, so the figure might as well be a salt shaker.  The elbow cuts are frustrating, but at least Jerjerrod is able to clasp his hands behind his back, like any good officer should.  (I generally preferred arms crossed in front of my chest, myself.)

The hat is not removable, and would not be on the named officers until Captain Needa came around a couple of years later.  The face isn’t particularly great, as Jerjerrod looks angrier than he should, with his Mr. Spock-like eyebrows. It seems it’s not just the paint, but the underlying sculpt that fails to capture the stressed out expression that seems to be more accurate.

The only accessories are a blaster (which he can hold well, for what that’s worth), and the standard Saga Collection named stand.

Jerjerrod definitely deserved to be made into a figure, but sadly, he arrived too soon before Hasbro made the jump in sculpt quality for Imperial Officers.  It’s unlikely he’ll ever be revisited.  But if Hasbro were to ever make a modern TVC-quality sculpt (more modern, that is, than Tarkin), they could conceivably revisit almost every officer ever made, and a few that haven’t yet been done.  Again, in this environment, probably unlikely, but it’s something Hasbro should consider, because they’d get a ton of tooling use out of it.  Oh, and while they’re at it, pick a uniform color and stick with it, please.  The current array of officer uniform shades is ridiculous.

The “Medium” priority for a new officer sculpt isn’t specifically for this character, but for any officer.  Most fans would probably pick Piett or Krennic to get the first treatment.  They could all follow after that.  In the meantime, this gets a 5.
