Smuggler and all-around scumbag Niles Ferrier employed a Defel as a ship thief. His Wraith was able to sneak around virtually unseen, even among other scoundrels like Lando.
Defels are one of the wolfman species that George Lucas tried to eliminate from the Cantina scene. Arliel Schous has already been identified as our highest priority Cantina Patron. To add to his appeal, this guy would be a derivative of that figure. Probably a darker color and different (no?) clothes, but it would be less than total new tooling, which we know Hasbro likes.
