Sadly I can’t find much reference material on this little guy aside from the screen grab to the right and the minimal Wookieepedia entry. Regardless, any new astromech is welcome and this being a repaint of the Vintage Collection Sail Barge R2-D2 makes it a virtual slam dunk of a figure to be made. He’s in the movie. Astromechs are a favorite subset among collectors. Add in the fact that this particular R2 unit has the added coolness of being a mixologist and this is definitely a figure Hasbro should slot into the line or a multi-pack at some point.
