When a visual representation of Ariq Joanson is needed, the face of this Unidentified Moisture Farmer is typically used. But according to Leeland Chee and George Lucas, this is not Ariq Joanson because the biggest problem facing Star Wars since 1999 is minor characters not being associated with the correct deep background character in the film. That would be an absolute tragedy.
There isn’t much direct value in having this character made into an action figure. He’s not visually distinctive. He doesn’t impact the plot. I certainly identify with this guy. It’s clear the Tonnika sisters want nothing to do with him as they’re doing their best to talk to each other in an effort to ignore him. His pal, Yerka Mig, is all but ignoring him in order to chat up Sai’torr Kal Fas (like he has a chance). And despite the fact that his drink has been long empty, Wuher won’t give him the time of day. I AM the Unidentified Moisture Farmer. But campy reasons alone don’t justify a high priority.
