You can criticize this character for being another boring human background character, but at least you could see him in the movie before the days when four head VCR’s allowed you to make horrible low definition freeze frames.  For that reason he will place ahead of characters that can only be seen when a PhD PhotoShop candidate manipulates the contrast and color levels of a screen grab for three weeks.  Pucumir Thryss can be seen over Ree-Yees’s shoulder watching the events of the Rancor pit.  He is shadow boxing because he apparently thinks the pit contains John L, Sullivan and not a nightmarish eating machine,
