Like many background characters, Palejo Reshad owes his name and backstory to that stupid Decipher card game.  Until proving myself otherwise, I would have bet that this guy wasn’t even in the movie.  He’s not in it much, but he’s definitely there.  Supposedly, Palejo was an over-dressed spice dealer who funneled money to the Rebels.  If that’s the case, he wasn’t very committed to the cause, seeing as he didn’t bother objecting when several leading members of the Alliance were captured and sentenced to die.  As far as I can tell, he avoided the Sail Barge and eventual fiery death.

There were more Humans in Jabba’s Palace than anyone remembers, and Palejo is not the most boring of them.  But he’s close.
