Luke’s EU costumes tend to be pretty boring.  He’s got his X-Wing flight suit, his ROTJ black Jedi outfit, his Bespin Fatigues, and some old PT-style Jedi robes.  So this black sleeveless number is actually something of note.  Hasbro has done a Thrawn-era Luke in the comic packs, but this one might be a little more interesting than his half-removed flight suit.  It’s simple enough, and is reminiscent of his Dagobah training duds.  If Hasbro ever gets around to upgrading that one, they could, at the very least, re-use the arms here.

Look, it’s Luke Skywalker.  Collectors generally prefer “never-been-done” characters, but the way Hasbro likes to play it safe, Luke might have a better chance of happening.  Ideally, this Luke could be used to anchor a multipack that gives us something new.  It’s also worth mentioning that this Luke would go along nicely with the upcoming Mara Jade that isn’t the one we asked for.
