Jess is a scantily-clad human woman that can sort of be seen in Jabba’s Palace.  Due to the amount of skin she is showing, it is assumed that she is a dancer, and that she is hot.  Standing next to Yarna certainly doesn’t hurt that perception.  There is also a rumored cut scene involving Jess, Bib Fortuna, and Salacious Crumb that was deemed too hot for Star Wars.  The details of that can be left to your disturbed imaginations.  When the Thrawn Trilogy came out and Mara Jade made reference to her role as a dancer in Jabba’s Palace, this white-wigged babe was immediately identified as a possible match.  Unfortunately, that made way too much sense for the EU, and a totally new off-screen character was invented instead.  While far from the stupidest decision LFL ever made, it was certainly a blown opportunity.

Should Jess be made as an action figure?  She has her supporters.  Some of them might not even be over-eager teenage boys.  She shares an aesthetic with the always popular Slave Leia, without being an exact duplicate, and despite her humanity, the white hair gives her an alienish look.  If Jess were Mara Jade, her action figure prospects would be significantly better.
